2023 Year in Review | Sport
Faith Sport Carnivals
It has been a remarkable year at Faith, and we have had some exciting moments at our many Sports Carnivals around the state. These events have brought together hundreds of Faith and external Home School families from across Queensland, creating a sense of unity, camaraderie, and celebration of student talent.
Throughout the year, we witnessed the incredible dedication and spirit of our students as they participated in our three major sports carnivals: Cross Country, Athletics, and Swimming. These carnivals encouraged sportsmanship, teamwork, and a healthy competitive spirit and involved families from the Gold Coast in the south to Cairns in the north, past Toowoomba in the west and everywhere in between!
Our students' achievements didn't stop at our own carnivals. Following their performances, some students had the opportunity to represent Faith at District, Regional and Christian School Carnivals across Queensland, with some outstanding results!
We believe in providing opportunities for all students at our carnivals, regardless of ability level. Some may be elite athletes, while others simply enjoy participating for the sheer joy of it – and that is perfectly fine! Our carnivals are a place where everyone can join in, have fun, and be part of a supportive community. As we look back on this year's achievements, we are filled with gratitude for our families’ support. Your enthusiasm and encouragement have been instrumental in making our sports carnivals a success. Thank you for cheering on our athletes and volunteering your time.
Looking ahead, we are excited about building and developing our carnivals even further. Our aim is to make them more inclusive, engaging, and memorable for all participants. We invite all our families to join us next year, whether as enthusiastic spectators or eager participants. T
ogether, we can continue to foster a love for sports, teamwork, and fellowship among our students and our extended Faith community.
Friday Sports Sessions
Throughout the year, we had the pleasure of hosting Friday Sports Sessions in various regions across Queensland, including Mackay, Brisbane, Ipswich, Toowoomba, and the Gold Coast.
These sessions have provided students and families with an opportunity to connect with others in their local communities while playing games, as well as served as a platform for students to prepare for upcoming Cross Country and Athletics Carnivals. The Friday Sports Sessions are a great way to wrap up the school week, offering a chance to unwind, de-stress, and enjoy the outdoors, making Fridays an exciting day for all involved.
Thank you to all who participated and made these sessions possible. Looking forward, we hope to welcome more parent volunteers to help run them next year. Your involvement will contribute to the continued success and growth of our Friday Sports Sessions, fostering a sense of community, sportsmanship, and connection among our students and their families.
