Attention All Aspiring Authors!

The 2026 Literary Competition is now open for entries from students and teachers. We encourage you to show off your talent by submitting your poetry, short story or non-fiction prose by Friday 12th June 2026. This competition is run by the Independent Education Union and English Teachers Association of Queensland, with prize money to be won!  

There is a limit of ten entries per category per school (Years 11-12, Years 9-10, Years 7-8 and Years 5-6). Please email Mrs Roxanne Blank to advise if you are entering this competition to ensure that your entry is counted.
