Helping Families Prepare for the 2026 School Year

Beginning in 2026, the Queensland Government will introduce new financial supports to help families with school-related costs. These initiatives are designed to make it easier for students to access the essentials they need for a successful school year.

Back to School Boost

From 2026, families with primary school students in Prep to Year 6 will receive a $100 Back to School Boost. This payment is intended to help with the cost of school essentials such as stationery, uniforms, and other supplies. The school will receive the funds directly. Eligible families will receive the allowance via a deduction on their school fees.

Textbook and Resource Allowance

The QLD government provides a textbook allowance for all students in Yrs 7 to 12. The allowance is paid directly to the school at the start of each year. Using those funds, Faith provides a paid subscription to digital textbooks for senior school students via the online provider, Box of Books. Home educators may purchase hard copies of textbooks at their own cost.

Supporting Every Queensland Student

These allowances highlight the Queensland Government’s commitment to supporting families and ensuring that every student starts the school year with the tools they need to thrive.
