Gold Coast Mission Trip 2026

In the early hours of 20 August, 21 students and five staff members began their journey to the Gold Coast for the annual Gold Coast Mission Trip. Over three full days, they experienced a variety of opportunities to serve the community while partnering with local ministries and organisations.

Our days were filled with volunteer work, teaching sessions led by our ministry partners and staff, group activities, and somehow, we still managed to fit in food and sleep!

The students represented God and Faith Christian School beautifully, as reflected in the feedback we received from our partners.

Baby Give Back

“It was such a pleasure having the staff and students from Faith Christian School step in to help us and the community we support. Thank you! Additionally, thank you to all the staff and students who generously donated to the charity.”
— Kathleen Brebner

Our team helped support 107 children by sorting and quality-checking 140 kg of clothing, as well as packing 60 clothing boxes.

Crossroads

“Across our whole team, from Newlife administration staff and volunteers to Crossroads staff, the feedback was consistent: What an impressive cohort of students.

They were proactive, eager to serve, willing to take initiative and consistently went above and beyond. They communicated so well, were incredibly respectful, and genuinely looked for ways to contribute and serve throughout their time with us.

We feel so blessed by the presence of Faith students.”
— Ps. Kirsty Emery

The students embraced every task set before them and joyfully served in many ways. They provided practical care, assisted with set-up and pack-down, participated in fellowship and worship, prayed with and for others, planted and cleared sites, shared devotions, and encouraged both the communities we visited and one another. Yes, we really did do it all!

It was amazing to see God’s hand already at work on the Gold Coast and to witness Him moving in the lives of our students as they shone the light of Jesus wherever they went. We may have travelled there to be a blessing, but as is so often the case, we returned feeling blessed ourselves.

Thank you to everyone for your support and prayers.

God bless,

Chappy Bek
