Faith Staff: Learning and Growing Together

On Thursday 30 and Friday 31 July, Faith staff came together for two valuable days of professional development centred on the theme Deep and Wide. The program provided an opportunity to deepen our understanding, broaden our skills and strengthen the way we serve our students, families and wider school community.

Praise, worship and devotions were an important part of the two days, with a moving reading by Faith student Charlotte W providing a special highlight. Staff also heard from David Yates, an experienced Christian education leader and former CEO of the Compass Foundation, who led them in exploring the Bible as one overarching story and considering how this understanding shapes Christian education. On Friday, internationally recognised restorative practice leader Margaret Thorsborne OAM shared valuable insights into building strong relationships and creating restorative school communities. Staff also took part in a range of other sessions and workshops supporting their professional growth and wellbeing.

Throughout the professional development, staff learned, collaborated, and encouraged one another. We are grateful to every member of the Faith team for their dedication, their willingness to continue growing and the care they show our students and families.
