Faith Students Embrace the Slopes in New Zealand

Faith Students Embrace the Slopes in New Zealand
Faith News

From 24 - 30 August, a group of our Faith students enjoyed an action-packed week in Queenstown for the annual 2025 New Zealand Ski Trip.

Arrival and First Impressions

After a small flight delay, our students circled above the stunning Milford Sound before safely landing in Queenstown. They braved their first chilly evening with a Fergburger dinner by the lake before heading to bed early, ready for the adventure ahead.

Hitting the Slopes at The Remarkables

Day 1 saw our students snowboarding at The Remarkables, where despite an average snow season, the conditions were surprisingly good. A fun evening meal at London Pizza capped off the day perfectly.

Bluebird Skies and New Skills

On Day 2, the mountain offered a spectacular blue bird day. Some students switched from boarding to skis, picking it up quickly, while others conquered their first green runs. The excitement and progress on the slopes were a joy to see.

A Well-Timed Rest Day

Day 4 brought a planned rest day, allowing everyone to enjoy a much-needed sleep-in. With rain in town and a few sore muscles, the timing couldn’t have been better. The evening’s highlight was dinner at Stratosphere Restaurant, where students (and staff!) indulged in delicious meals and desserts.

Final Adventures

The ski trip finished with a big Friday, including jet boating, luge rides (rescheduled from a rained-out session on Day 4), and an afternoon and night ski at Coronet. With fresh snow on the mountain, our students made the most of their final runs before wrapping up what was an unforgettable week in Queenstown.
