From Concept to Camera: Screen and Media Students Deliver Professional Album Shoot
Cherie Csikos, Senior Secondary Science

A past cohort of Cert III in Screen and Media students put their skills to the test in a hands‑on workshop, taking on a full album photoshoot from concept to final shots.

Guided by their RTO trainer, Mrs Rosie Spooner, the team transformed the basement of Gracehouse Church in Logan into a fully equipped studio, setting up lighting and gear like seasoned creatives.

Transforming a Vision into Visual Storytelling

After collaborating with artist Cherie Csikos to pin down the album’s style and themes, the students took charge - directing poses, framing shots, and rotating through roles behind the camera. They captured a mix of indoor and outdoor scenes to build a strong collection of potential album‑cover images, with several students showing impressive flair for directing and crafting artistic visuals.

Collaborating with Artist Cherie Csikos

Cry of the Saints is a contemporary Christian album by singer‑songwriter Cherie Csikos. Cherie, a member of our Senior Secondary Science teaching team at Faith, is passionate about worship and enjoys writing songs on the piano. The album will be released across all major digital platforms on 12 February and marks Cherie’s second studio release.
