G’day from Our International Ambassadors!

G’day from Our International Ambassadors!
Kelli Keneally, Year 5 Teacher

G’day everyone! We’re excited to share a little about one of our favourite programs at Faith – our International Ambassador Program, where we build friendships and connections with our wonderful friends in Taiwan!

We have three exciting ways to connect across the oceans:

🧸 A Teddy Exchange

✉️A Letter Exchange

Meet Our Travelling Teddies!

First up, let us introduce you to three very special (and very cuddly!) ambassadors: Faith the Koala, Kanga (both proudly from Australia), and Oh Bear (visiting us from Taiwan).

This term has been packed with adventure! Faith the Koala and Kanga packed their tiny bags and headed off to Taiwan, visiting a class in Jane-dar, while Oh Bear visited us here on exchange. Along the way, these teddies have been visiting families in both countries, making connections, sharing stories, and showing the world what Faith is all about.

Oh Bear has been very busy! He’s fed horses, patted sheep, danced and visited bake sales with Bella and Alexis, cheered at Cross Country, and joined in many more adventures. He’s also been very sun‑safe, carefully wearing Mechilyn’s hat while out on the farm!

Oh Bear’s cousin, Doh Bear, also joined in the fun at Cross Country, where he met Peace the Koala and even raced his way to first place in his division!

Pen Pals Across the Sea

Our Year 5 students have loved using their Year of Connection to write to our friends at Wenshin School in Taiwan. It all began with introductory letters, where students shared details about our school, our celebrations, and life in Australia. The fun continued with small‑group letter exchanges, helping students build deeper friendships and learn even more about one another.

Live Connections Coming Up!

We’re also thrilled that students from Qing Xi will be joining 5Class1 online in Week 10. During these live sessions, students will construct a bookmark and green tree frog and chat face‑to‑face (via screens!), learn about each other, and even talk about their favourite books.

Through every letter, teddy adventure, and live connection, our students are proudly building international relationships that reflect God, Australia, and Faith. The excitement is contagious, and our students can’t wait for what adventures come next!
