Hands-On Learning at the Certificate III in Information Technology Intensive

Hands-On Learning at the Certificate III in Information Technology Intensive

Our Certificate III in Information Technology students recently gathered at the Calvary Family Church hall for their course Intensive.

With a larger-than-usual intake for the 2026 class, the atmosphere was buzzing with energy. After a brief introduction, students dived into hands-on hardware labs - identifying components, practicing part replacements, and exploring the hierarchy of how hardware interacts.

A highlight of the meet was a practical demonstration of network performance. Students experienced firsthand the impact of shared vs. dedicated (one-to-one) internet connections, sparking critical thinking about infrastructure design and how to choose the right solution for specific client needs. The cohort showed great enthusiasm and collaborative spirit, and they are eager to apply these new skills in a real-world setting.
