Historic Triumph for Faith Pedal Prix Teams at State Titles

What an absolutely magnificent weekend of racing! Our unstoppable Faith Christian School Pedal Prix teams left everything on the track at the Queensland Pedal Prix Super Series State Finals, bringing home a historic haul of three first-place State Championship titles and one spectacular third-place finish!

This sensational weekend marks the grand finale of an epic season. Our students, parents, and staff travelled far and wide, competing in six gruelling events all the way from Townsville to the Gold Coast.

The Championship Breakdown

Primary Team – 1st Place State Champions! 🏆 In their very first competitive season, our youngest riders showed grit well beyond their years. Competing in a small but rapidly growing field, their commitment was unmatched. They pushed through gruelling challenges—including the legendary 16-hour overnight enduros—to secure the top spot in the state!

Junior Boys – Back-to-Back State Champions! 🏆 Proving that success is no accident, our Junior Boys team dominated their field once again. They have officially secured the State Championship title for the second consecutive year!

Senior Boys – 1st Place State Champions! 🏆 After finishing an agonisingly close second in both 2024 and 2025, our Senior Boys finally took the crown! Competing in a hotly contested field of 17 teams, the entire season came down to the wire, with our boys clinching the ultimate state victory by just a single point! Talk about a heart-stopping finish!

Community Team – 3rd Place Overall! 🥉 Our newly formed community team—composed of past students, dedicated parents, and staff—went wheel-to-wheel with Wolf Pack from Mackay and elite G-Trikes factory teams from SA. Against professional-grade competition, they showed incredible fighting spirit to lock down a fantastic 3rd place podium position for the state!

Masterclass in Strategy and Teamwork

Huge congratulations go out to Joe, Tom, and Henry, who completely ran the training, practice sessions, and race strategies. Their leadership and tactical minds were brilliant, keeping our trikes moving fast and efficiently all season long.

Equally magnificent was our phenomenal support crew. A massive thank you to the dedicated army of parents and staff who backed the riders up in the pits, volunteered as marshals, and managed the massive logistical jigsaw puzzle of touring the state. We truly could not do this without you!

Looking Ahead to 2027: Building the Future! 🛠️ The racing doesn't stop here. Planning is already underway for next year, and we are thrilled to announce that in 2027, Faith will introduce a trade student team competing in the restricted category!

Mark Your Calendars for Term 1, 2027! 🗓️ We are incredibly excited to announce two massive community events coming up early next year! In Term 1 of 2027, we will be hosting a Faith "Have a Go" Friday followed by a Faith Interhouse Competition Day at Murarrie, Brisbane International Cycle Track.

This event is for absolutely everyone! Everyone from primary-aged students through to adults can race. If racing isn't your thing, you are warmly invited to bring along a picnic basket, enjoy the community atmosphere, and—if the wind is right—fly a kite on the lawns!
