RTO Trade Trainer/Coordinator – Full-Time Position

Based at 13 Geonic Street, Woodridge | Limited Work From Home

We are currently seeking a full-time RTO Trade Trainer/Coordinator to deliver the CPC10120 Certificate I in Construction to Years 10, 11, and 12 students in 2026. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your trade skills while helping students grow in character, purpose, and faith.

This position is based primarily on campus, with the ability to work from home for limited administration and planning tasks. It also involves limited travel and delivering construction intensives to various sites.

About the Role

The Trade Trainer/Coordinator will design and deliver engaging vocational lessons through a mix of face-to-face intensives and online learning. Students will also obtain a White Card, equipping them to participate in valuable work experience placements on construction sites.

Beyond technical training, this role is a ministry opportunity to model and encourage a Christian worldview, preparing students for life, vocation, and service.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering CPC10120 Certificate I in Construction training to Year 10 -12 students
• Assisting with White Card certification and facilitating Work Experience placements
• Designing, marking, assessing, and moderating student work with accurate reporting
• Creating lessons for Distance Education and Flexible Learning students
• Coordinating with the Work Experience Officer to connect students with trade opportunities
• Undertaking professional development to maintain industry currency
• Encouraging and supporting students in their Christian walk and vocational calling
• Attending RTO meetings, school events, and contributing to team initiatives

Required:

• Minimum of 3 years recent experience in Construction or a trade-related occupation
• Current driver’s licence

Desirable:

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
• Vocational qualifications in Certificate I in Construction or related fields
• Experience teaching or training school-aged students (Years 10–12)
• Familiarity with online training platforms and digital delivery
• Background in youth support services
