Lest We Forget: Our Virtual Anzac Day Service and Local Representations Across Queensland

Lest We Forget: Our Virtual Anzac Day Service and Local Representations Across Queensland
Faith News

This year, we found a new and meaningful way to come together for Anzac Day through our first annual Faith Anzac Day service, united by faith and remembrance.

Service Highlights

On 24 April, our Faith community gathered virtually to thank God and honour the bravery, sacrifice, and spirit of our the men and women who served our country. It might have looked a little different to the traditional ceremonies, but the heart behind it was just as powerful.

We were joined Henry Swindon, our guest presenter, who has served in the Australian Army in Afghanistan, as well as School Principal Graeme Johnston, Pastor Was and two of our Year 12 students (Abigail and Jessica).

Representing Faith Across Queensland

In addition to our virtual gathering, we were proud to have both junior and senior student representatives lay wreaths at local Anzac Day ceremonies across Queensland. We’re incredibly proud of their involvement and the way they honoured the Anzac spirit on behalf of Faith.

We’re so thankful for everyone who made these special moments possible. From our Faith Staff who organised the virtual service, to our students who represented our school in local ceremonies, and every member of our Faith community who paused to gather with us for Anzac Day.
