School Award and Co-Curricular Awards Week 2

Faith Christian School awards that are recognised on our 13 Awards Nights around the state have been upgraded. Over the next few weeks we will show you what they are, how to earn them and what form the awards will take.

                            Bundaberg Awards Night Students 2025

 

Last week we looked at school reports that everyone receives and School Awards that go to students who do extra!

This week we look at academic and engagement awards. The list has been upgraded with some new awards!

Academic and Engagement Awards:

Christian Character (certificate) Conditions same as last year. 

Demonstrating character. 

Learning@ Faith (certificate)

Students must now improve by 1.5 levels, up from 1 level

Academic (certificate)

Students must now achieve an A- level

Engagement (certificate) Conditions same as last year

Top 10% of the Students in Prep to Year 11 who have shown the highest independence in their commitment to learning in Semester 2 of that year. Engagement is measured by attendance in lessons, submission of work, participation in lessons

Year 12 Top of Subject (certificate) Conditions same as last year

Based on the highest result in each year 12 subject including RTO.  A student must achieve a minimum B or better to qualify. 

Top Ten! (new) (certificate)

Year 6, 9 and Year 12. Must do all subjects to qualify

Dux / Proxime Accessit (new) (Medalion)

Year 6, 9 and Year 12. Must do all subjects to qualify

Top Rural Dux (New, only for regions outside the South East Corner) (Medalion)

Year 6, 9 and Year 12. Must do all subjects to qualify

So, read the list and see if you can aim for one or more of these awards. Of course, you only find out at Awards Night if you have qualified!
