Senior Leaders Successful COMPASS Conference Trip

Senior Leaders Successful COMPASS Conference Trip
Jessica Wells

Last week, six of our 2026 Year 12 Senior Student Leaders, attended the COMPASS Student Leaders Conference in Canberra.

Our Leaders gathered with 300 students representing 33 Christian schools nationwide. The objective of the Conference was to help them to thoughtfully integrate their faith and life in today's context.

Students visited the Australian War Memorial and were fortunate to witness a special commemoration marking the 125th Anniversary of the Australian Navy and Army. Our Faith Student Leaders also attended Parliament House, where they had the opportunity to meet Senator Paul Scarr, a member of the Liberal National Party of Queensland.

During their time in Canberra, students explored the Bible Garden at Charles Sturt University, visited the National Art Gallery, and enjoyed hands-on learning at Questacon – the National Science and Technology Centre. They also took on the important task of discovering some of the best gelato spots in the city.

But most importantly, our students got to share their faith and ideas with like minded student leaders and many friendships were forged.
