Over 450 students came together on Tuesday, May 28, for the 2025 Ipswich Athletics Carnival!

A Celebration of Sport and School Spirit

The Athletics Carnival brought together both Faith students and Homeschooling students from across the region for a jam-packed day of athletic events, teamwork, and community. From the first whistle to the final race, the grounds were alive with cheers and laughter.

Field Events Show Skill and Strength

Students showed incredible technique and determination in events like long jump, discus, shot put, and hoop throw. From launching themselves into the sandpit and carefully aiming their throws, the students did a fantastic job!

Classic Carnival Fun

Traditional games brought plenty of fun and smiles throughout the day. Egg and spoon races kept everyone on their toes, while the tug of war proved a favourite for team spirit and strength. The ball games showcased not just skill but also cooperation and communication among teammates.

Sprints and Distance: The Track Heats Up

The track events were a highlight, with students giving it their all in the 60m, 100m, 200m, and 800m races. Every race brought its share of excitement, close finishes, and personal bests. As well as, plenty of proud smiles from parents and teachers.

More Than Just a Competition

More than medals and ribbons, the Ipswich Athletics Carnival was a celebration of participation, perseverance, and encouragement. It was heartwarming to see students support one another, cheer for their friends, and enjoy the thrill of trying something new.

Thank You!

A huge thank you to all the staff, volunteers, and families who made the day possible – and of course, to every student who competed with enthusiasm, courage, and heart. You made this day one to remember.

Great work, everyone! We can't wait for next year.

Looking Ahead

Our next Athletics Carnival is not far away. Registrations are still open for the Sunshine Coast Athletics Carnival happening on 25 June. We can't wait to see you there!

Please note, if students are not registered via the Faith website for the SC Athletics Carnival prior to the close of nominations as indicated on the website, there will be a price increase per student (1 = $30, 2 =$60, 3 or more = $70), and they will be ineligible to receive points, ribbons and age champion. Thank you for your understanding.
