What sport(s) do you currently play or compete in?

I currently compete in cricket, tennis as well as hockey. Although I spend most my time practicing my wicket keeping and batting for cricket.

How long have you been playing or training in this sport?

I have played cricket ever since I can remember, whether it was playing backyard cricket or beach cricket while we were camping.

What or who inspired you to start playing this sport?

It would definitely be my dad. He would always have the cricket on the TV in the background while we were home and talk about the stories when he played first grade cricket. This inspired me to want to play the sport even though I would be the only girl in my club.

Why do you compete in sport?

I compete in sport as I really enjoy playing and love the challenge. Every week I always look forward to playing and think of how I can improve my game. I also love the social side of sport as you get to know the people on your team, especially in cricket where you spend the day with your teammates.

What motivates you to keep training and competing?

One thing that motivates me to keep playing and training would be that I want to be the best cricketer I can possibly be and I can achieve this through practice and dedication.

What’s one memorable moment or achievement in your sporting journey so far?

One memorable achievement in my sporting journey would be winning best and fairest in my team. As a girl cricketer I have to play in boys teams as there isn't enough girls. Winning best and fairest in my team showed that girls can play just as well as boys.

Would you rather fight 1 horse-sized duck or 1,000 duck-sized horses? And why?

I would rather fight 1 horse sized duck as you only have to kill one thing instead of 1000.
