Student Spotlight - Summer

We’re excited to celebrate Year 8 student Summer Rosee.

Summer is a gifted 13-year-old singer-songwriter from the Sunshine Coast currently studying at Faith. She is deeply passionate about music, and writes all her own songs, drawing from her personal experiences and emotions to create lyrics that truly connect with listeners.

When I first heard Summers songs I was blown away. Hearing her put her feelings and thoughts into music was such a moving experience. I love it that her songs are raw, honest, and filled with heart. I believe it is a God-given talent to be able to put into words the emotions many people struggle to express, yet deeply recognise.

Summer has been singing and writing since she was young, and now she’s taking a big step in her music journey. She has started recording and publishing her own original songs. Two of which include “The Messenger” and “Love Language." We are so proud of you Summer!

The songs are like my diary, so it's very personal to record them and let other people hear what I feel.  It has amazed me to realise that other people are resonating with my lyrics and want to listen.  It is exciting, but at the same time a little scary.
