Take the Challenge: The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is Back!

In 2023, we launched the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Program at Faith. While many students began their journey, participation slowed through 2024-25, with a few students still completing their Gold Level.

In 2026, we’re excited to relaunch the program with Mr Ross McIvor, an experienced Outdoor Educator joining us from our RTO, who will lead the Duke of Edinburgh program at Faith.

What is the International Duke of Edinburgh Award?

The Duke of Edinburgh is a life-changing experience - a chance to have fun with friends, discover new interests, develop lifelong skills, and achieve something recognised and respected worldwide. It supports young people to grow in confidence, resilience, and leadership as they navigate life.

Award Levels

• Bridge – Years 7 & 8
• Bronze – Year 9
• Silver – Year 10
• Gold – Years 11 & 12

Areas of Achievement

To complete each level, you’ll participate in four areas:

• Adventurous Journey (run by Faith)
• Volunteering
• Skill
• Fitness

Completing Silver or Gold adds one QCE point toward your graduation.
