Term 2 Literature Now Available for Primary and Secondary Students

The Faith Library is thrilled to have copies of Roald Dahl’s classic "Danny, the Champion of the World" ready for our Year 6 Students. Plus, we have a fantastic selection of Secondary English Novels to borrow and dive into in Term 2 📖✨

"Danny, the Champion of the World" - Available to Borrow for Year 6 in Term 2

What is the book about?

'Danny' is a 1975 children's novel by British author Roald Dahl which has been continually listed in the Top 100 Books for Children.

The Plot centres on Danny, a young English boy and his father, William. They live in a Gypsy caravan, fix cars for a living in their mechanic shop and partake in poaching pheasants on the land surrounding Danny's home.

The owner of the land is Mr. Victor Hazell, an unpleasant but influential local nouveau riche beer magnate. Mr. Hazell's annual pheasant shoot is approaching. Danny and William decide to humiliate Hazell by poaching all the pheasants in the forest using raisins soaked with sleeping pills.

Will this daring and devilish plot be successful against their horrid and greedy neighbour?
