World Scholar's Cup Da Nang Global Round: A Memorable Journey of Learning, Culture and Success

Our World Scholar’s Cup teams recently returned from an unforgettable experience at the Da Nang Global Round in Vietnam, where students and families enjoyed a wonderful blend of academic competition, cultural immersion, and lifelong memories.

Throughout the trip, students and their families had the opportunity to experience the rich culture and history of Vietnam through a variety of cultural tours and activities. Highlights included exploring the breathtaking Marble Mountains, discovering the ancient ruins of My Son Sanctuary, visiting a traditional Silk Factory, enjoying the spectacular Hoi An Memories Show, participating in a Lantern Making Workshop, and spending time shopping in local markets. These experiences provided valuable insight into Vietnamese culture and helped strengthen connections within our school community.

Our students arrived exceptionally well prepared for the competition and embraced every opportunity presented to them. In addition to the academic events, scholars enjoyed a range of social and cultural activities including the Scholar’s Gala Dinner, the Scholar’s Ball (Disco), the Talent Show, and the Cultural Fair. We were particularly proud to see Flynn confidently recite Maths Pie and Jerome showcase his musical talent with a piano performance during the Talent Show.

Their hard work, dedication and commitment to training were rewarded with outstanding results.

We are thrilled to announce that both our Junior and Senior teams have now qualified for the prestigious Tournament of Champions at Yale University in the United States this November. This remarkable achievement reflects the students’ passion for learning, perseverance, teamwork, and academic excellence.

We are incredibly proud of all our scholars for the way they represented our school throughout the competition and while travelling abroad. Their achievements are a testament to the many hours of preparation, study, and practice that went into this journey.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our students for their dedication and enthusiasm, to our parents for their ongoing encouragement and support, to Mrs Field and Mr Gill for their commitment to training and mentoring our teams, and to Faith for your unwavering support and belief in our students' potential.

This was truly a memorable and rewarding experience for everyone involved, and we look forward to cheering our scholars on as they prepare for the World Scholar’s Cup Tournament of Champions at Yale University. Congratulations to all involved on an outstanding Global Round!
