Year 9 Poetry Workshop Excursion

Year 9 students will take part in an exciting poetry excursion in Term 3, visiting the State Library of Queensland in South Bank, Brisbane. The workshop, led by acclaimed poet Madeline Dale, will be happening on Friday, 14 August from 10am - 12pm.

The session will complement the Term 3 English Poetry Unit, giving students hands-on experience with creative writing, poetic techniques, and self-expression in a collaborative and engaging environment. It also gives students the chance to work with a professional poet and explore poetry beyond the classroom.

Students will be responsible for arranging their own transport to and from the venue, with public transport encouraged.
