Meet Mr Matthew McPherson

Hi, I'm Matthew McPherson, and I work as an IT support worker for Faith Christian School.

My days are often filled with helping teachers, families, and staff with a variety of tech-related issues. Whether it’s answering phone calls, responding to emails, or troubleshooting problems, my role is all about ensuring that technology runs smoothly so that others can focus on what they do best.

I get a real sense of fulfillment from being able to solve problems and make people’s days a little bit easier through my support.

When I’m not at work, I love diving into my interests, which are pretty varied. I’ve always been a big fan of movies and video games, and I’m always excited to get my hands on the latest tech gadgets. It’s amazing to see how quickly technology evolves, and I’m always curious about the new possibilities it brings. But beyond tech, one of my biggest passions is my faith. I’m continuously inspired by the word of God and try to live each day in a way that reflects His love and grace.

What is your favourite genre of music?

In terms of my personal favourites, I’m all about the music from the 70s and 80s. There’s something timeless about the sound of that era, and I don’t think they make music like that anymore.

What is your favourite colour?

My favorite colour is green - it’s a colour that reminds me of life, growth, and the amazing gift that God has given us.

What is your favourite sport?

When it comes to sports, cricket will always be my number one. There’s something about the game that I’ve always loved - it’s just the greatest sport ever created in my opinion.

What inspires you?

How God works through us in our everyday lives. I see this so clearly in my job. Through my work, I get to witness firsthand how God guides my thoughts and actions. He helps me approach every situation with patience, understanding, and grace. I believe that, through my role in IT support, I’m able to not only fix technical issues but also bring peace and encouragement to those I assist. It’s about more than just solving problems - it’s about offering support in a way that reflects God’s love for others. Each day, I trust that God will guide me and help me serve others with the best of my abilities. Whether it's a technical issue or a simple conversation, I see every opportunity as a chance to make a difference and let His light shine through me.
