Meet Ps Was

Ps Was is our wonderful School Pastor at Faith!

Ps Was has an extensive background in education, business and ministry which spans several decades.

An avid sports fan, Ps Was believes there is a powerful connection between healthy physical activity, Christian Spiritual engagement and academic performance. Having spent a significant amount of time in the business world as well as church ministry and the mission field, he is able to offer a unique perspective to students and staff at Faith.

As the School Pastor, he is responsible for the oversight of our Christian Worldview, along with the pastoral and wellbeing guardianship of our staff, students and families.

He is a fully-committed advocate for the poor and the marginalised.

More about Ps Was

What do you love most about your role at Faith?

Watching our students discover their potential to make a difference - inside and outside the classroom - and to help others to enjoy a quality relationship with Jesus.

What is a fun fact about you?

I hold the world record for mounting the largest ocean race in history.

What inspired you to work in your current role?

Having worked in several roles within the school for many years, the need to "formalise" a close connection between our families' Christian and educational development and to serve our stakeholders.

Where is your favourite place on earth, and why?

My business and mission work has taken me to most parts of the globe but there is no better place to be than Australia ... on the coast and with my family.

What is the most rewarding part of working with students?

Seeing students push themselves past their comfort zones and into a place where they are truly relying on Jesus.

What is your favorite book or film and why?

The book is a "no-brainer", the Bible. The movie is Rambo (2008). A great example of how NOT to do Mission, set in Myanmar. I had the privilege of discussing the writing of the movie with Sylvester Stalone.
