Meet Mrs Fay Muirhead

Mrs Fay Muirhead is one of our wonderful Primary Teachers at Faith!

I first joined Faith in 2021 as an Area Teacher on the Sunshine Coast and have been the Year 2 class teacher since 2023. I have worked in various primary schools in South Africa and Queensland, and prior to joining Faith, I had the privilege of spending several years teaching in a special school.

I love all things Distance Ed/Home School and believe that there is nobody better to teach children than the ones who love them the most!

As a young parent, I traveled with my husband to a remote part of Madagascar, where I had no choice but to homeschool my two daughters. By the time we moved to Australia two years later, I was a dedicated homeschool teacher/mum, and we loved the freedom that it afforded us as a family.

I feel that a teaching role at Faith is so much more than just teaching, as we get to support both our students and families in their Distance Education journey, and we get to broadcast our love for Jesus into homes across the state!

What do you love most about your role at Faith?

I love that I work in a school that is proudly shining for Jesus!

What is a fun fact about you?

I have fed lemurs in Madagascar and I am a beekeeper :)

Where is your favourite place on earth, and why?

I am a home body, and love being at home with my family. Venturing out to watch a sunrise or sunset from anywhere is a close second.

What is your favorite book or film and why?

I have soOo many favourite books ...... Aside from the Bible.. Kisses from Katie, by Katie Davis, reminds me to be grateful for the life I have and to be generous in any way possible.
