Meet Mrs Kylie Christensen

Mrs Kylie Christensen is one of our wonderful Learning Enrichment Teachers at Faith!

I have worked in education across a range of settings - from kindergarten to high schools - since 2006, and I continue to feel inspired by the joy of teaching and learning. I hold a Bachelor of Education and an ESL qualification, and I feel incredibly blessed to have joined Faith in 2025.

I believe that my passion for teaching and learning inspires my students to love learning as well, and to strive for success on the path God has for us.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my four children - Jade (15), Kiara (13), Riley (10), and Caleb (8). We love camping together and making the most of the outdoors. I also enjoy travelling and have been fortunate to explore some incredible parts of the world, from Africa to Egypt and China. When I’m blessed with some quiet time, I enjoy learning the piano.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” - Jeremiah 29:11

More about Kylie

What do you love most about your role at Faith?

The beautiful sense of connection and community that forms - despite the distance. Every day, I get to greet students from all across the state, support them in their learning, and share in their joys and growth.

What is a fun fact about you?

I once rode a camel in Egypt and camped under the stars in the desert, an experience I’ll never forget!

What inspired you to work in your current role?

Teaching has always felt like more than just a job - it’s a calling. I believe God placed a passion for education in my heart, and He continues to open doors for me to use that gift to bless others.

Where is your favourite place on earth, and why?

That’s a hard question - because I don’t think I’ve found just one favourite place yet! I am definitely going to continue to discover the amazing world we live in.

What is the most rewarding part of working with students?

I love seeing the moment when something finally “clicks” and their face lights up with understanding and pride. It’s such a privilege to be part of their learning journey, to celebrate their achievements, and to encourage them when things feel tough.
