Faith Feature Friday: Mrs Lisa Burton

Meet Mrs Lisa Burton

My name is Lisa Burton and I’m so excited to be a Prep Teacher at Faith in 2025.

I live in the North of Brisbane with my husband Seth and our teenage/young adult children, Zoe and Daniel. As a family, we love hiking, camping, travelling, and spending time at home, entertaining family and friends for BBQs and dinner parties. My personal hobbies include writing, painting, gardening and walking.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

I have been a Primary teacher for over 20 years, and I have worked in many different educational settings including schools in London, Cairns and Brisbane. I have taught in many excellent Christian schools over many years. I am very excited that God has called me to serve Him at Faith Christian School in the current season. It is a delight to help our precious students on their learning journey.

What do you love most about your role at Faith?

I love getting to know my students and families. It is amazing watching as they develop and flourish in their learning.

Where is your favourite place on earth, and why?

My favourite place on Earth is Cairns in Far North Queensland. I grew up there and it is a wild and beautiful place.

What is the most rewarding part of working with students?

I love watching the learning and growth of young children. Their minds are like little sponges, they are so eager, excited and curious.
