Meet Mrs Melanie Griffith

Mrs Melanie Griffith is our wonderful Head of Primary at Faith!

Mel Griffith is an accomplished educator with a diverse background in teaching and curriculum development. After graduating with Honours in Information Communication Technology, she began her teaching career at Calvary Christian College and later taught at Emmanuel College on the Gold Coast.

Mel has held significant roles, including Head of Department for Science and Humanities at Emmanuel College Junior School. She has also contributed to emergency education and underprivileged schools in Africa. At Faith Christian School, Mel thrives in an innovative environment, offering students alternatives to mainstream schooling.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family on the beach.

What do you love most about your role at Faith?

Forging a path for alternative Christian education.

What is a fun fact about you?

I once volunteered in an animal shelter while on holidays in Maui, Hawaii. I got to walk dogs all day around the island.

What inspired you to work in your current role?

My love for Christian curriculum that is Bible based.

Where is your favourite place on earth, and why?

Home, I love where I live.

What is the most rewarding part of working with students?

They see things in ways I would never have considered.

What is your favorite book or film and why?

American Gospel, an excellent documentary that helps with evangelism.
