Faith Feature Friday: Mrs Teressa Yantsch
Meet Mrs Teressa Yantsch
Teressa is new to Faith, joining at the start of 2025, and she is now one of our dedicated Secondary Science Teachers.
As a Marine Biologist, Teressa is passionate about marine ecosystems, and holds a PhD in Biochemistry, with a research focus on the impact of climate change on coral reefs. Teressa has spent over 10 years dedicated to understanding and preserving these vital habitats on the Great Barrier Reef.
Now a Science teacher at Faith, Teressa is excited to bring her expertise and passion to the Faith community and foster a love for science among students.
What inspired you to work in your current role?
I transitioned into teaching to inspire the next generation, aiming to educate students about the wonders of the reef and the importance of science as a subject.
Where is your favourite place on earth, and why?
My favourite place is the ocean. I love snorkelling on the reef, immersing in the fascinating underwater world.
