Meet Joel

Joel is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience in student wellbeing, curriculum development, and leadership in Christian education. Currently serving as the Future Pathways and Wellbeing Coordinator at Faith Christian School of Distance Education, he is passionate about guiding students toward their academic and personal goals while fostering a supportive learning environment.

With over a decade of leadership experience, including roles as Acting Principal, Dean of Teaching & Learning, and Pastoral Care Coach, Joel specialises in behavior management, conflict resolution, and relationship building.

His background in pure and applied sciences and hands-on experience in laboratory environments, provide him with a strong analytical approach to problem-solving in education.

Committed to student success, Joel combines his expertise in education with a deep understanding of student wellbeing, ensuring that learners thrive both academically and personally.

What is a fun fact about you?

My first car was a green Torana with the full sports pack including MAG wheels and a spoiler. I also grow orchids.

What inspired you to work in your current role?

Connecting students with a fulfilling future that brings a positive contribution to our society.

Where is your favourite place on earth, and why?

Blackdown Tablelands.

What is your favorite book or film and why?

Lord of the Rings... If you have to ask why you haven't read it.
