Course Overview

Year 10 Design offers students a dynamic and hands-on learning experience across a range of design disciplines. Students explore technical drawing, engineering principles, material specialisations, and graphic design, while engaging with real-world challenges and ethical considerations. Technical Drawing & CAD: Mastering one-point, two-point, and three-point perspective drawing, both by hand and using computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
Engineering & Construction Principles: Investigating sustainable building design, materials, and environmental impacts.
Graphic Design & Communication: Learning the core elements of visual communication, including infographics, branding, and marketing design.
Designing for Events: Exploring the design process through the lens of major global events like the Olympics, with a focus on cultural identity and First Nations heritage.
