CHC22015 Cert II in Community Services
This Course teaches foundation Community Service skills with a Christian world view by practical volunteering in a community organisation for a minimum of 20 hours. Students will learn how to work in teams and as an individual, how to manage their priorities and workload, Workplace Health & Safety values, how to manage your own stress and directly assist the clients of the Community Organisation.
Community Organisations in regard to volunteer placement may include: Community Organisations, Churches, Not for Profits, or Schools such as an animal shelter, a not for profit community book store, a soup kitchen, a local op shop, you sports club or your local church.
Students receive a nationally-recognised qualification on completion, and in addition you experience all the benefits of servicing and helping others.

Course requirements:
- Students need to arrange their own volunteer work placement.
- The student's parent is not able to be the student's supervisor.
- The student's Work Experience Agreement Form must be uploaded no later then 6 weeks from starting the course and passed prior to beginning work at the workplace.
- 1 Task is required to be submitted each week.
- Students will need to be photographed while engaged in work activities.
- Students will need to speak face to face to customers, co-workers and their supervisor.
- Workplace must be done at a Not for Profit Community Organisation, Church, or School.

Students receive a nationally-recognised qualification on completion of this training.
You have the ability to build on this course and start work in the human services industry.
The majority of task work is completed at home online, suitable for students anywhere.

Being able to decide where you complete your community service provides many opportunities to work with friends or explore new experiences working with others. Making friends along the way is part of the experience in working in other environments.
The fortnight tutorial meets online on Tuesday at 12:15pm.
Support by a closed classroom, email or phone available during school hours.
You select the community volunteer location.
Students are able to choose where they do their 20 hours of community service.
So whether it be an animal shelter, a community book store, a soup kitchen, a local op shop, you sports club or your local church, you are able to choose the type of community service that you contribute your time and effort.
It's an exciting opportunity to contribute to the world around you.
