CPC10120 Cert I in Construction
(Proposed for 2025)
This course will prepare students to work on a construction site in various setups. It could also set them up for an apprenticeship in carpentry. This course is a prerequisite for Certificate ll in Engineering Pathways.
This qualification provides an introduction to the construction industry, its culture, occupations, job roles and workplace expectations. The units of competency cover essential work health and safety requirements, the industrial and work organisation structure, communication skills, work planning, and basic use of tools and materials. The qualification is built around basic construction project units that integrate the skills and embeds the facets of employability skills in context.
The skills achieved will assist in successfully undertaking a Certificate ll in Engineering Pathways or will facilitate entry into an Australian Apprenticeship.
Students will also complete and be issued a White Card.
Up to 3 QCE Points
Students receive a nationally-recognised qualification on completion of this training.
Intensives
Students will be required to attend two three day intensives. One in Week 2, and one in Week 7
Towoomba, Sunshine Coast, and SEQ
2x Lessons Per Week
Students connect online with the course trainer for interactive learning sessions, mandatory for course completion.
