BSB30220 Cert III Entrepreneurship and New Business

Set up and run your own business with this practical course built for young entrepreneurs.

During this Course students will setup and run their own business. This will be a real business, not a scenario or make-believe. The students will be trained in spotting and developing new opportunities, marketing and customer service. Overall the training will have an entrepreneurial attitude, taught from a Christian worldview. It equips students with skills that will enable them to establish independent income streams as well as placing service at the centre of any enterprise. The overall aim is to learn business by running their own real business.   This is a practical course. There are no essays. All assignments are demonstrated by implementing an actionable task required in a live business such as build their own website. Students will learn from temporary failure and success.

Students receive a nationally recognised qualification on completion. In addition, students will receive up to 6 points towards QCE for this training.

Available for Year 11 and 12 students. Year 10 students may get early entry by  presenting their business idea directly to the trainer via Adobe Connect with video on. Email mark.dunnett@faith.qld.edu.au to arrange a time.

Course Requirements

  • Student must attend live interactive live sessions for  collaborative learning, 2 hrs on Mondays and  Wednesdays afternoons. Video recordings are used as revision tools and do not substitute for  attendance and interaction.
  • Students must have their webcam on and speak to other students using a microphone. 
  • Students must have fast reliable internet connection with webcam and microphone.
  • To demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, students will be expected to hand in one practical assignment per week, which is completed in their own time in addition to interactive sessions. Up to 1 hour per task.

 

All practical. No essays.

Develop your  Lean Canvas

Develop your Marketing Plan

Create a Website

You select and build the business of your choice.

  • On completion of all Tasks, you will have a live, profitable business 

No intensives. Suitable for Distance students anywhere

Students receive a nationally-recognised qualification on completion of this training.
