  4. High Country Duke of Edinburgh Program

This outdoor education program was created by Faith students as part of their Duke of Edinburgh program and is facilitated by our Outdoor Education Coordinator, Daniel Rush. Please contact him for more details at daniel.rush@faith.qld.edu.au

Who is this camp for?

This program is a trail of a Duke Of Edinburgh Gold level adventurous journey, however you don’t need to be doing this co-curricular activity to come along. Faith students must be in Year 11 or Year 12 to sign up.

Cost:

$650

Overview:

Participants are invited to hike the top ten Australian Summits in the High Country.  This is the main challenge, however it’s also about enjoying the experience and choosing options depending on weather conditions, fitness of the group and morale.  Other focuses will include some Canyoning in the blue mountains, coastal hiking in NSW and rafting the snowy river.

Dates:

Friday, 25 November through to Saturday, 3 December

Pick-Up & Drop-off:

We can provide various options for students depending on their needs.

Locations:

Grafton, South West Rocks, Port Macquarie, Blue Mountains, Snowy River, High Country

Please note, itinerary is subject to some changes, depending on weather conditions and capabilities of the students who attend. We plan to have alternative activities to accommodate all attendees.
