BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Guidelines

Faith supports a range of devices to support your learning needs, budget and family makeup.

We understand that families working remotely need to navigate a range of concerns such as access to reliable internet, sharing devices between family members, Home Educators actively assisting students with their learning, and engaging in specialist courses to extend skills.

We provide students with equitable access to quality education that promotes student excellence and develops confident and creative individuals and successful learners.

Essential for all Students

Note that a mobile phone device is not considered a suitable learning device for a student’s education. Parents/Guardians may elect to use a mobile phone device to access Learning@Faith or Sentral Parent Portal environments.

Beyond Primary year levels (Prep to 6), iPads and Android tablet devices are considered supporting devices. They are well suited to accessing Learning@Faith class pages and attending live lessons. However, tests have shown that iPads do not have all the features required to support a complete education. Therefore from Secondary years onwards they are not appropriate as the main device used by a student. Students will need to use a recommended laptop device.
