Experiencing internet issues?
To help work out what is going on we have the below tools to help before contacting itsupport@faith.qld.edu.au
- Use Google Chrome as a web browser
- Check your internet speed (Click here)
PLEASE NOTE: The more people in your house using the internet at the same time (especially movie streaming) the slower the internet will be.
With Adobe Connect:
- A minimum download speed required for one person on the internet is 512 Kbps.
- For sharing with a high definition web camera a minimum download speed is 3 Mpbs
Resolution | # of Pixels | Download speed requirement |
---|---|---|

1296x972 (high) | ~1,260k | 26Mbps |
1640x1232 (ultra high) | ~2,000k | 40Mbps |

Please download this and email to itsupport@faith.qld.edu.au
- Check that your computer has the appropriate resources available.
On Windows systems, right click the taskbar and select Task Manager.
Click on the Performance tab. Make sure that the windows labelled CPU and Memory do not display a high %. The CPU is how much processing power the computer is using. The Memory shows the total Random Access Memory being used. If this is high, it doesn't have enough resources to do its job. In many cases, you will have to close down applications to ensure that you have adequate resources available.
