Essential for all Students

The following is a list of the technologies required to successfully study in our school’s online environment.  Free online access to Word/Excel/Powerpoint & Gmail is available to all students. Additional requirements vary by year level.

Access to the Internet

Learning is completed through a mix of online and offline mediums. An internet connection is vital to ensure your students success.

A desktop computer, laptop, iPad or tablet

Technical Specifications:

  • Intel core i3 processor / AMD equivalent (minimum requirements)
  • Minimum 128GB storage space
  • Windows 7 or higher / macOS 10.8 Mountain Lion or higher
  • Google Chrome v59 or higher / Safari v6.2 or higher / Microsoft Edge (2019) or higher

Scanner or digital camera

A scanner, digital camera or mobile device to scan assessment work for upload.

Printer

Any model or brand, for printing some course material & assessments.

Headset with a microphone

Wired/wireless. Required for language based subjects.

*A fee of $48/year is required for an offline desktop download of Microsoft Office.

  • What Documents are Required for Enrolment?

    Documentation that is required for successful completion of enrolment includes:

    • Student birth certificates for proof of identity
    • The last 2 semesters of school reports
    • Relevant medical history documentation
    • Any court documents pertaining to guardianship arrangements
    • Student ID photo
  • Essential for Primary Students

    Essential for Primary Students

    These are the requirements for students years P-6:

    ACCESS TO THE INTERNET

    COMPUTER

    A desktop computer, laptop, iPad / Tablet for every 2 students for online classrooms and assessment uploads.

    SCANNER OR DIGITAL CAMERA

    A scanner, digital camera or mobile device to scan assessment work for upload.

    PRINTER

    Any model or brand, for printing some course material & assessments.

  • Essential for Secondary Students

    These are the requirements for students in Years 7-9:

    ACCESS TO THE INTERNET

    2Mbit and up connection.

    COMPUTER

    A desktop computer, laptop, iPad / Tablet or parent’s mobile phone for every 1 students for online classrooms.

    SCANNER

    A scanner (recommended), digital camera or mobile device to scan assessment work for upload.

    PRINTER

    Any model or brand, for printing course material & assessments.

    Additionally we highly recommend the following for all secondary students:

    WEBCAM

    For online lessons.

    HEADSET WITH A MICROPHONE

    Wired/wireless. For online lessons.
  • Essential Equipment for Senior Secondary Students

    Essential for Senior Secondary Students:

    These are the requirements for students years 10, 11 & 12:

    ACCESS TO THE INTERNET

    5Mbit and up connection.

    COMPUTER

    A desktop computer, laptop, iPad / Tablet or parent’s mobile phone per senior student for online classrooms.

    SCANNER

    A scanner (recommended), digital camera or mobile device to scan assessment work for upload.

    PRINTER

    Any model or brand, for printing course material & assessments.

    Additionally, we highly recommend the following for all Senior Secondary students:

    A SECOND COMPUTER MONITOR OR DISPLAY

    For research and assessment purposes
