Dear Faith Families,
As we all head off on holidays, I thought I would write to you and thank you for all you have done to make our School one to be proud of. Over the last year together we have built a new Christian curriculum that passes muster with the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board. This is no small task for both our staff to build and families to adjust to. We have also introduced a range of new opportunities and services for our families that are improving every term. As I read the end of semester two reports, it is clear that we have amazing families that want the very best for their children.
The improvements continue in 2023 with the following upgrades:
- Our Monday Prayer meetings and Friday Chapel are now live, and numbers are growing! Get on board with the spiritual life of our school by visiting our website. You can also stay in-the-loop for reminders by subscribing to our emails.
- Learning@Faith, powered by SchoolBox, will replace Moodle. This comprehensive e-classroom could well be better than a day classroom. As always, attendance is based on work returned. Students are encouraged to attend lessons and engage in the full curriculum as full engagement provides more opportunities to see success and inspire a love for what they are doing. Live lessons will be available from Prep to Year 10 next year. These, combined with Tutorials, will give your children the direct interaction they need with their teacher. The lessons are recorded, so you can go back and revise whatever is needed. The tutorials will allow additional support as needed.
- Our Outdoor Education and Duke of Edinburgh programs were well subscribed this year and will grow even bigger and better in 2023. Only 20 seats for the NZ snowy trip! Sign up on our website.
- There will be over 20 local co-curricular opportunities available across the state next year. Keep an eye out for where and when in your region.
- We are upgrading the quarterly regional workshops and sports options for those students who want to get out, train and compete. Toowoomba is leading the charge here!
- The fee schedule is out. We have lifted fees to account for inflation, and we have simplified the invoicing process by combining our resource levy with tuition fees.
- All of your fees, 100%, are spent on your children. As a low fee School, we rely on this income to give you a great Christian School.
Lastly, know that all 100+ staff at Faith – teachers, office and support staff are dedicated to giving your child the best education in the state. I know some types of pride are not good, however, I am proud of our school, our staff and our families. Thank you for your support and prayers in 2022. Our staff pray regularly for you and each other.
Have a blessed Christmas, spend some time together and with our Lord Jesus and we will make 2023 a bigger and better year. With Faith, we can go the distance!
Sincerely,
Graeme Johnston
