  5. Students Reenact Easter Story at Regional Workshops

Faith families from across the state got together for regional workshops on Friday and each group took a different take on the theme: “Christ is our Cornerstone; He Binds Us Together.” Students from Prep to Year 12 participated in Easter Art, Reader’s Theatre, and more!

“My very reluctant-to-attend Year 9 daughter came away excited about the day and with new friendships formed. The focus of collaboration and communication amongst the students was greatly appreciated by us parents who struggle to provide these opportunities to our students.”

South Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay

Students created all kinds of different Easter-related projects: dioramas, collages and other crafts.

“I was really nervous today about having to perform today (Reader’s Theatre), but the kids here are all really nice and godly. At my old school we would get teased and bullied. Here everyone includes you, even the big kids are really nice. I really enjoyed myself! Thank you.”

Gold Coast

Gold Coast students painted backdrops and performed the Easter Story in two Acts: the cross scene and the resurrection scene. Check out this student-made video of behind-the-scenes moments:

South Burnett

South Burnett students dressed up for Reader’s Theatre and reenacted Palm Sunday outside.

“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.”
