Good morning to everybody at Faith Christian School! We are in Week 10 of Term 1, and people have done very, very well, and I’m proud of all of you!
First off, we have some Sports news for you. Two of our students, Jack and Sam, have been competing at the Taipan Junior Development Series. Jack won his Tournament for Tier 2, and Sam won Runners-Up in Tier 3. Well done to those students for the excellent work you’ve done with Tennis!
We love hearing about student achievements. If you go to our page, you will see that there’s a place where you can put student achievements in, and we keep a record of those, and we also can highlight them when we put them in the 2023 Student Yearbook.
As we speak, our Resources Team are putting together the P-6 Packs that’ll be coming out to you in the mail. You’ll get more than resources this Term, including:
We have been listening to what parents are telling us, and we are making significant adjustments to the way that we deliver Curriculum and the expectations we have, so that things can be adjusted in your home to suit.
There’s one item of the letter to parents that I would like to especially highlight: the Parent Advisory Group. While I’ve been able to get some good information from parents, I’d like to go further. As of next Term, we’re starting up a Parent Advisory Group. If you, as a parent, would like to sit in a group with the Principal, every month or so, and provide direct feedback about how we can do things better at Faith, we’re now in the position to do that. Simply read the letter, send me an email, and we’ll get together online once a month, and I will feed that back to our teams to make sure that what we do is high quality and high service.
We have a joke for you this week from one of our students.
Well, the answer is simple. They live in schools!
In Scripture, Hebrews Chapter 10, Verse 25, it says this: Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing. Let us encourage each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.”
It’s been hard over the last year with COVID and there weren’t always options to regularly attend church. As we’re approaching Easter, I really want to encourage all of you, including myself, to get to church, and enjoy each other’s fellowship at your Church, and set an example for our children.
Also, this Friday I’m going to be speaking at Faith Talks, and we’re going to talk about the Resurrection, and help people understand a little bit more about that. So, make sure you log on to Faith Talks later this week, on Friday!
See you all after the holidays!
