  5. What is Pedal Prix?

Faith Christian School of Distance Education now has a Pedal Prix team competing statewide in six of the eight PedalPrix Super Series events: Ipswich, Townsville, Emerald, Brisbane, Toowoomba and Springsure.

What does competing in Pedal Prix look like?

A team of 10 Faith students take turns racing a recumbent racing trike around a criterium or Go Kart track in a relay event that lasts either six or sixteen hours!

When are the Pedal Prix events held?

On Saturday, 29 April, we had our first event at Ipswich and entered in the top event, Senior Boys. In the time trial we achieved the pole position of 3rd and went on to be 4th of six in our class and 8th overall. Many of our team were completing the 1.13km circuit in under 2mins. Our best time was 1.54 mins or 44kph!

Our next event is Saturday, 6 May in Townsville on part of the super V8 track.  Our school is helping run Townsville and are hosted for the Brisbane event.

Learn more about all of the events on the PedalPrix Super Series website.

How can Faith students join the Pedal Prix team?

Our Teams are called Alpha & Beta.  Any secondary student in QLD can try out for the team. Our student captain will put you on a training program via Strava and you can come to an event and try it out!
