In the initial stages of formal learning, students are still learning about the world around them and how they fit into it. Their fascination with discovery makes this an ideal time to engage them through exploring, investigating and learning how things work together to create meaning.

Our Unit Workbooks are created fully in-house by an experienced team of curriculum writers, who are also qualified and experienced Distance Education teachers.

KEY LEARNING AREAS:

  • English
  • Maths
  • Science
  • Humanities & Social Studies
  • Heath & Physical Education
  • Technologies
  • The Arts
  • Co-Curricular Activities

OUR CHRISTIAN VALUES:

While we adhere to the compulsory government guidelines in the Australian curriculum, our unit workbooks are unique in that they are presented within a Christian Worldview.

During these early years, students are beginning to learn more about themselves as learners. The focus is on providing opportunities to explore their world through the use of hands-on activities, allowing them to use their senses and guiding students through their learning development.

Our Unit Workbooks are created fully in-house by an experienced team of curriculum writers, who are also qualified and experienced Distance Education teachers.

LESSON DELIVERY:

For primary students, learning is primarily paper-based. Unit workbooks are distributed to families at the beginning of each Term, with the expectation that a parent or guardian will be present to facilitate their students’ learning and upload completed work for teacher assessment. Online lessons and tutorials are available to support learning each week.

What Our Parents Say

The best part of Duke of Ed is the Camps. I highly recommend Duke of Ed as you learn a lot about all different people and yourself.

Willow Bonett

Parent

One of the reasons we were keen to begin with Faith is we found that having both of our children at a Christian or Catholic private school, the curriculum was great, but you cannot control what happens on the playground. Both of our children had things happen to them on the playground and during free time that was just not great and we really didn't feel our children were safe at school anymore. And they weren't being exposed to things at the relevant time. We wanted to be able to control the sort of conversations that we have with our children at what times. Our children are so valuable. They're only little once. And this the time to impart into them and also to keep them safe and secure. As pastors, we see stuff all the time and are seeing what kids are being exposed to more and more, not just through curriculum but through other teens and other children, the stuff they are watching and consuming on the internet and then passing onto their friends. Particularly as parents that want to raise their children in the ways of the Lord, you can't go past that home environment where we are imparting onto them the word of God.

Anita Greening

Parent

What I love about the Faith Christian School program is that you have access to online classes where the kids can interact with other students online and the teacher can bring the content and instruction. The beauty of the system is if you are busy and can't make a class that's ok because they record every call. So if we miss one because maybe we have an urgent pastor thing to take care of, we can do that and still catch up on the call and not miss out on any of the content. So the flexibility for us is exceptional.

Jeremy Greening

Parent

It's our pleasure to recommend Faith Christian School to anyone who wants to begin educating their children in the home environment. The big wins for us is that there is a curriculum provided, there is teaching staff allocated to every student. The pressure of teaching isn't on the parents. We are there to guide and supervise and support and assist, but if you're time poor and can't give up your whole day to teach, then this is the education place for your kids because you can still be involved to whatever degree you are able to be involved to supervise and assist. But Faith Christian School are the weight lifters when it comes to creating the curriculum, delivering it and providing a system for students to engage with one another and the topics. We recommend it to anyone who want to begin educating their children in the home.

There is a huge opportunity for flexibility. You're given the curriculum, but you can do it at whatever pace you want, as long as you get your assessments in on time, you can study when you want, where you want, however you want. Usually the place I studied was the house office, where all the computers were lined up.

Amberly Nowicki

Faith’s program has helped us to engage our boys more. The curriculum has been written in a more exciting matter to keep boys focused about what they are doing and help us meet milestones we were struggling with prior to coming to Faith. Particularly in reading!

The Adventurer's Guide to Noosa Camp was a great atmosphere, uplifting mood. One of the better camps I've been on.
