Years 1-2
During these early years, students are beginning to learn more about themselves as learners. The focus is on providing opportunities to explore their world through the use of hands-on activities, allowing them to use their senses and guiding students through their learning development.

LESSON DELIVERY:
For primary students, learning is primarily paper-based. Unit workbooks are distributed to families at the beginning of each Term, with the expectation that a parent or guardian will be present to facilitate their students’ learning and upload completed work for teacher assessment. Online lessons and tutorials are available to support learning each week.

Engagement with the world which was created for our students to live in is encouraged with an increasing level of divergent thinking as they investigate possibilities whilst still operating within the security of the guidance provided. A higher level of autonomy is encouraged as we move into the upper primary years. The aim is to develop creative, and reflective thinkers who are able to participate collaboratively and consultatively with others. The ability to function within a community and to navigate the relationships is an important aspect of learning at this level.

VET
Faith Christian School is an accredited Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and we are qualified to offer a variety of nationally-recognised vocational courses to supplement the academic program for students in Years 10, 11, and 12.
How is Faith’s VET program different?
Not only is Faith’s VET program more affordable than comparable commercially-offered courses, all of our courses are taught by experienced Christian trainers through a Christian Worldview.

Senior students who have a disability, as defined in
Queensland’s Disability Discrimination Act 1992, that significantly affects learning and is not primarily due to socioeconomic, cultural and/or linguistic factor may be considered eligible for the Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (
QCIA).
The Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA) recognises and reports the achievements of students whose learning is part of an individual learning program. The certificate is an official record that students have completed at least 12 years of education.
